Calling all Artists


Our international offshore racing yacht, O Canada, is looking for a new design on her main sail, and we want you to design it!

The contest will run until June 1st, at which point we will review all designs and choose a winner!

If you win, your artwork will be the centerfold of our IMOCA open 60 racing yacht as we sail and race around the world. The design needs to meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

  • Include sail number in top quarter : CAN 1867
  • Canadian themed
  • Include team colours, red, black, white
  • Design must be visually clear from a distance
  • At minimum must cover current branding, but we encourage the whole sail
  • Contest ends June 1st, 2016
  • Must be submitted as a PDF or JPG

  • The sail featured below is the actual sail that we are looking to have redesigned
  • The new design will be painted on using a special type of sail paint, same type the Volvo Ocean Race uses.

Canadian Ocean Racing

Canadian Ocean Racing (COR) is Canada’s premier offshore racing team. Founded by Morgen Watson and Meg Reilly, COR is dedicated to promoting the sport of offshore racing in Canada. IMOCA

Founded in 1991 and recognised by ISAF (International Sailing Federation) since 1998, IMOCA is the class association, which takes care of 60-foot Open monohulls (18.28 metres). With more than twenty skippers signed up, its championship includes two round the world races, a round Europe race and several ocean races. The IMOCA class aims to make ocean racing more international and it brings together ideas about competitions, innovation, human adventure and safety.
